Be The BeatDonate here: Be The Beat
I would like to begin offering the American Heart Associations (AHA) "Be the Beat" program to children in grades 6-12.
Did you know? 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes. Unfortunately, only about 46% of people who experience an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest get the immediate help that they need before professional help arrives.
Students practice on a manikin while watching skills performed correctly on the DVD, a research-proven way to learn and retain lifesaving CPR skills.
This training will be offered for FREE and I am hoping to train as many children as possible using this hands-only program.
Students will learn to “Be the Beat” and pump blood to a victim’s vital organs if they see an adult or teen suddenly collapse. Hands-Only CPR can double or triple a victim’s chance of survival.
To open a class up to the maximum per the AHA I would like to order enough supplies for 30 children. These supplies are sanitized in between each child and are able to be used hundreds of times.
I am committed to creating the next generation of lifesavers through the American Heart Associations Be the Beat and CPR in Schools® programs and hope that you will consider assisting me in this first step, which is the financial piece for ordering the equipment necessary.
Thank you for any financial assistance you are able to offer me. If I raise additional money, all monies will be used specifically for new equipment for my AHA CPR BLS and HeartSaver classes that I teach.
